NOMINATIONS ARE NOW OPEN FOR THE 2010 AWARDS

Welcome to the 2010 Gold Standard Awards – the only programme recognising global excellence in the field of Asia Pacific-related public affairs, corporate affairs and governmental communications.

Last year’s awards were a huge success with nearly 100 organisations from the corporate, consultancy and governmental sectors competing across 11 categories. The programme showcases best-practice among public affairs and public policy professionals.

The Gold Standard Awards have already become the benchmark for excellence in public affairs and this year we have developed an expanded programme – with new categories recognising individual practitioner excellence, the work of ambassadors and embassies and the engagement of NGOs with government and the private sector. In addition we widen the government transparency award to become The Gold Standard Award for Good Governance, and invite private sector organisations to take part in this important category.

Website

This website introduces this year’s judges, the entry procedures, our sponsors and partners and the categories for the 2010 programme. It also contains the timeline, guidance notes, terms and conditions and – most importantly – the various downloadable documents required for full briefing and entry.

We invite entries from corporations, PA and communications consultancies, government agencies and embassies, trade and representative groups and NGOs operating both in Asia Pacific and beyond. Nominations opened on September 1, 2010 and all entries should be received by midnight on October 15, 2010.

Once again, the awards will be presented at an extended high-level gala cocktail, canapé & networking reception, taking place at The Foreign Correspondents’ Club in Hong Kong – to which we will invite senior figures from the public affairs industry, commerce, government, NGOs and the diplomatic corps. The programme will also be followed up with a series of knowledge exchange roundtables throughout the region in early 2011.

We would like to thank our sponsors, partners, judges - and our prospective entrants - for their support for The Gold Standard Awards. We look forward once again to celebrating and promoting gold standard achievement in the processes of engagement and communications between corporations, governments and NGOs here in Asia Pacific.
